Moxie 2020

McKenna's Rae of Hope cordially invites you to attend Moxie 2020, our annual gala. Moxie means to possess the character of cleverness, skill, creativity, and fortitude to get through any situation. This description defines our organization, but it has taken on an incredible new meaning this year. We are all challenged to possess "Moxie" during these unprecedented times we are currently facing. Together, we have been tested to generate creative ways to survive, learn, socialize, and work in an uncertain world full of many of the same feelings those with mental illness face every day: Hopelessness, Despair, Financial Instability, Social Isolation, and Anxiety.

One important message that has been portrayed throughout this time of uncertainty is "Alone Together." Perhaps for the first time in a long time, we can empathize with those that feel these same desperate feelings of loneliness day in and day out. We can reach out to help one another, listen, lift each other, and heal; together. Our mission with this foundation and event is to create that unity and acceptance that we all desperately yearn to have. You are never alone when you have us as a resource!

Your attendance during this virtual event is essential for the multitude of programs and opportunities McKenna's Rae of Hope Foundation brings to community members in need. Our collaboration with area leaders is critical to reducing the stigma associated with mental health concerns and lack of access to services. We kindly thank you for helping our organization strive to fulfill our mission and reach our goals to create a community built on resiliency and kindness to all members.

This year's event will be different, but we encourage you to still attend from home using a digital platform.  We hope that you still find the week exciting and engaging and that you join us in adopting a little "Moxie" into your life as we kick off our first virtual gala! Be sure to watch our Facebook page and website for program content throughout the week from 11/4-11/11.

Stay safe!
